I'm not a humongous beer fan but I am pretty fond of Mill Street's Original Organic Lager. It's Ontario’s first certified organic lager and was launched in 2002. They adhere to rules that guarantee both the raw materials and brewing process are pesticide and herbicide-free. Brewed with imported malt and hops, this 4.2% German Pilsner offers a light, crisp and refreshing flavour with a clean finish.
Mill Street says it's tasting notes are: delicate floral aroma; light palate with malty flavour balanced by some hoppy bitterness. I say it tastes like good beer especially when it's ice cold and you're screaming thirsty.
Mill Street says serving suggestions are: seafood, light pasta, cheese and fruit. I vote for salty snacks, more salty snacks and maybe some dip.
Where Can You Buy It?
Um, I live in Ontario. I can only get it at a LCBO and The Beer Store. My preference is the LCBO – I only go to The Beer Store as an ultimate last resort. I hate that place – I'll save that rant for another day.
